Job description

• Job Title: Principal Analyst - CS Business Systems (Customer Service Billing Major Accts–Electric Billing)
• The team is responsible for managing and executing billing operations for major industrial customers through SAP-based utility billing systems.
• Oversees projects with business units involving customer service initiatives related to system applications and technology, including analyzing issues, designing new system functionality and resolutions, recommending solutions, and partnering with Information Technology (IT) experts to implement solutions.
• Provides advanced business knowledge and technical system expertise for system requirements and solutions.
• Shares advanced technical knowledge with partner organizations and leads cross-functional teams to support technology projects.

Key Accountabilities:

• Works with information technology architects and related teams to explore specific solutions and define the scope of projects, system enhancements and solutions to system defects
• Designs system configurations and customizations to meet the business process designs and application requirements
• Validates system designs with business partners to ensure system designs satisfy business requirements and expected results
• Leads cross-functional efforts for testing new system developments and expected results
• Oversees completeness and consistency of system design deliverables to build functionality needs of business partners
• Leads the transitions of the customized functional designs for technical designers
• Develops test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for test plans, including assembly, product, performance, user acceptance and technical architecture testing
• Develops, updates, and maintains testing standards and procedures
• Participates in the release control process (when the application is transferred from the build team to the test team) to ensure that solutions meet business requirements

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• This is a dual‑track base requirement job; education and experience requirements can be satisfied through one of the following two options:
• Bachelor’s degree in a business or information technology discipline and 6 years of experience performing technical or system analysis; OR

Other Qualifications – Preferred:

• Advanced knowledge in SAP technology, inclusive of utility billing systems and related platform applications
• Knowledge of system functions that support business processes in customer service

Other Requirements:

• Leads teams to create high‑level designs of end‑to‑end, integrated system solutions
• Ability to analyze business process scenarios and process flows to identify additional integration requirements
• Utilizes strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills to understand situations, partner with others, and influence decisions and results

• Hybrid Role: Required to be onsite Tue-Wed-Thu of each week.
