Base pay range

$70.00/hr - $80.00/hr

The SAP Data Services Engineer plays a critical role in an S/4HANA transformation journey. As a key member of our SAP team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of data migration strategies and processes, leveraging SAP Data Services, the SAP Landscape Transformation Migration Cockpit (LTMC), and the Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW). Your expertise will ensure the seamless and accurate migration of critical business data to a new S/4HANA environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust and efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SAP Data Services to cleanse, transform, and load data from various source systems into S/4HANA.
• Utilize the SAP LTMC to facilitate the migration of master and transactional data through standard migration objects.
• Develop and maintain data migration programs using LSMW for specific data migration requirements.
• Collaborate closely with functional SAP consultants, business stakeholders, and IT teams to understand data requirements, identify data quality issues, and define data mapping rules.
• Perform data profiling and analysis to understand source data structures, quality, and volume.
• Develop and execute data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the migration process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues and errors in a timely manner.
• Document data migration processes, technical specifications, and data mapping rules.
• Contribute to the development of data migration best practices and standards.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in SAP data migration projects.
• Proven experience with SAP Data Services for ETL development
• Hands-on experience with the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit (LTMC) and its various migration approaches.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with the Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW).
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Snowflake).
• Experience with data profiling, data quality analysis, and data cleansing techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience with SAP functional modules (e.g., FI/CO, SD, MM) and their underlying data structures is a plus.
• SAP certification(s) in related areas are a plus.
