Job summary

Clover Sonoma is seeking a Database Engineer to design, build, and optimize enterprise data platforms bridging SAP S/4HANA (RISE) and AWS Data Lake. You will implement a Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and create curated data models for Power BI-driven insights.

Responsibilities include securing data, ensuring reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on master data governance and data migrations. 5+ years in database engineering with SAP/AWS experience desired.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IS/engineering or data field.
5+ years in database engineering or related role for business-critical systems.
Hands-on SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and RISE with SAP experience.
Experience building AWS data lake with S3 and data services (Glue, Lake Formation, Athena/Redshift).
Advanced SQL skills, data modeling, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting.
Experience designing/maintaining ETL/ELT integrations and APIs.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, administer, monitor, and optimize databases for SAP and business apps.
Build secure data pipelines from SAP S/4HANA in RISE to SAP HANA Cloud and AWS.
Extract SAP data via CDS Views, OData, ODP/ODQ, SLT, SDI/SDA, APIs, or SAP Datasphere.
Design SAP HANA Cloud schemas, calculation views, SQLScript, and data models.
Create Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers in AWS Data Lake.
Develop data models for Power BI reports and semantic models.
Ensure data governance, backup, DR, retention, and security practices.
