Job Title: SAP BRIM SOM & Master Data Consultant

Client: National Consulting Firm

Location: Remote

Compensation: $55-60/hr.

Contract: Contract to Hire

As an SAP SOM & Master Data Functional Consultant, you will play a critical role on the Managed Services team supporting the production environment and the SOM and Master Data related activities. This role will also take on project-related work when time allows. You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure the production environment is fully supported, issues are resolved, and enhancements are made to their existing SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and interface with key processes of standard SAP SOM within the SAP BRIM solution, including master data, orders, contracts, and product modeling for SAP SOM within SAP BRIM/Hybris Billing solution.
• Engage with IT delivery partners, prioritize issues, and monitor queues and outputs from the team.
• Follow departmental and company procedures and policies (change control, security, auditing, release, configuration, problem, and incident management).
• Monitor SAP systems for performance and availability to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Address and resolve system issues, incidents, or user problems reported through tickets or alerts, adhering to SLAs.
• Investigate root causes of recurring issues, identify patterns, and implement preventive measures.
• Manage and maintain SAP system configurations, including user access, authorization, system parameters, and updates or patches.
• Create and update technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.
• Collaborate on change management processes, assessing and implementing changes with minimal operational impact.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including business users, developers, and external support, to resolve issues and implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with best practices, standards, and security protocols.
• Participate in on-call support or emergency resolution during non-business hours as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 10+ years’ experience as an SAP functional expert in SD/CS areas.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Subscription Order Management module is required.
• Proficient in configuring and utilizing SAP SOM within SAP BRIM.
• Minimum 4 years of experience developing and maintaining scalable SaaS systems.
• At least 3 years of SAP experience implementing SAP BRIM/Hybris Billing.
• Hands-on experience with functional configuration and design.
• Certifications in SAP SOM & CRM are preferable.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

• Deep OTC process knowledge on SAP platform.
• Understanding of master data structure, design, and implementation.
• Experience with product modeling, order management, and integration with external applications like e-commerce.
• Ability to enhance and troubleshoot subscription billing and revenue models.
• High-tech experience in Subscription Order Management, Provider Orders, and Contracts.
• Knowledge of Convergent Charging & Invoicing, Mediation (a plus).
• Experience with SAP BRIM & S/4HANA system configuration.
• Specific knowledge of SAP Convergent Invoicing processes is a plus.
• SAP SD and Finance experience is beneficial.
• S/4HANA experience is required.
