Job summary

Soap Creek Resources is seeking an experienced SAP Concur specialist to lead architecture on a federal project in Herndon, VA. This contractor role supports the GSA GO.gov program, with onsite presence and remote options.

You will design, configure, test, and deploy a robust SaaS T&E solution, coordinating with stakeholders, developers, and vendors to deliver high-impact Travel & Expense capabilities for 124 government agencies over the next 15 years.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to government security clearance requirements (must be clearable to MBI).
• Proven hands-on experience with SAP Concur implementation, configuration, and design.
• Deep domain knowledge of the Travel & Expense (T&E) industry, including modern processes, trends, and integrations with financial/HR systems.
• Proven ability to write clear technical documentation, functional specifications, and comprehensive test scripts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture & Design: Lead functional and technical design sessions to architect Concur solutions, translate complex change requests into clear functional specifications, and streamline user workflows.
• System Configuration & Build: Hands-on configuration of SAP Concur Expense and Request modules aligned with client requirements and industry standards.
• Ecosystem Integration: Coordinate technical integrations connecting SAP Concur to finance systems, HR platforms, corporate card providers, Duty of Care platforms, and mid-office travel tools via APIs.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop end-to-end test scripts, lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), perform defect resolution, and promote smooth releases into production.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the functional bridge between client leads, internal developers, and third-party vendors to maintain clear communication and ensure program success.
