Job summary

Estuate, Inc. seeks an experienced SAP BW Consultant to lead end-to-end migration from SAP BW on HANA to Incorta. You will design data mappings, build incremental pipelines, and ensure accurate dashboards.

Responsibilities include overseeing extraction, transformation, and metadata migration, validating outputs against legacy reports, and guiding stakeholders through the migration lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7-8 years of SAP BW on HANA experience with data modeling and architecture.
• Experience migrating BW workloads into Incorta or similar modern data warehouses.
• Proven BI migration and ETL strategy experience with performance tuning.

Currently, we are looking for a SAP BW Consultant to join our team.

Job Description

• Lead end-to-end migration projects from SAP BW on HANA to Incorta, driving solution architecture, data modeling, extraction pipelines, dashboard design, and change management to ensure high-quality delivery, seamless new platform adoption (Incorta), and knowledge transfer to stakeholders.
• Assessment & Planning: Analyze existing SAP BW landscapes (InfoProviders, DTPs, Cubes, queries) and define migration scope, strategy, and timeline.
• Data Modeling & Mapping: Map BW models (cubes, ADSOs, business content) to Incorta schemas and business views. Design incremental data pipelines and transformation logic.
• Extraction & ETL Automation: Extract data from SAP BW on HANA, manage lineage, delta processing, and metadata migration. Use tools like Incorta Inspector and CLI to export/import schemas/data sources.
• Platform Migration Execution: Oversee schema, business view, dashboard/story migration using Incorta UI and CLI. Handle broken references and cleanup using migration best practices.
• Dashboard & Insight Creation: Rebuild key analytics and dashboards in Incorta (insights), ensuring data fidelity and usability.
• Testing & Validation: Develop validation scripts and reconciliation reports. Ensure outputs match legacy SAP BW reports through rigorous testing cycles.
• Operationalization & Cutover: Lead go-live activities, help stabilizing reports on Incorta platform.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Produce detailed architecture docs, data-mapping guides, runbooks, and best practices for the migration.

Skills & Requirements

• 7-8 years of SAP BW on HANA expertise, data modeling, and architecture.
• Experience in successfully migrating BW workloads (reports, models, dashboards) into Incorta or similar modern data warehouses.
• Proven experience in large-scale BI migrations, ETL strategy, and performance tuning.
• Expertise in data modeling (InfoCubes, ADSOs, Open ODS, CompositeProviders), plus familiarity with HANA modeling (attribute/calculation views).
• Strong proficiency in SQL, metadata-driven modeling, and data validation.
• Deep knowledge of tools such as BW transformation/routine coding, BEx/queries, and Incorta dashboard building.
• Solid project lead experience handling migration sprints, slice planning, and stakeholder coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Incorta architecture and migration patterns, including the use of Inspector tool, CLI export/import, and object-level migration.
• Exposure to Incorta analytics and insight generation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD orchestration for deployment cycles.
• Strong understanding of SAP source extraction logic, including delta mechanisms and replicating complex extractor code (BEx, custom).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing abilities to guide cross-team collaboration.
