Job summary

Anritsu Company in Morgan Hill, CA is seeking a Senior SAP Basis Administrator to ensure SAP system reliability and database health. The role covers SAP Basis tasks, SQL Server administration, and BTP Cloud HANA support across on-prem and cloud environments.

The successful candidate will monitor systems, implement upgrades and patches, manage security and access rights, and participate in incident resolution and change management with ITIL best practices. This is an on-site, full-time position.

Job description

Duties: Perform routine SAP system administration tasks, including system monitoring, system installations, upgrades, patches, and maintenance. Ensure the availability and reliability of the SAP systems and proactively identify and resolve any system issues. Manage and administer Microsoft SQL databases, including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning, ensuring the availability, integrity, and security of the databases. Provide support for the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Cloud HANA environments, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Monitor the performance and health of the BTP Cloud HANA solutions, address any issues, and collaborate with other technical teams to optimize system performance. Implement and maintain appropriate security measures to safeguard the SAP systems and SQL databases. Manage user access and authorization roles, perform regular security audits, and ensure compliance with security policies and standards. Execute system upgrades, including SAP system components, database upgrades, and patch applications. Respond to and resolve incidents and problems in a timely manner, troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and operational procedures for SAP systems and SQL databases. Generate regular reports on system performance, capacity, and availability. Also participate in change and release management processes, ensuring proper planning, testing, and implementation of system changes for SAP systems, SQL databases, and BTP Cloud HANA environments.

Education Required: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Experience Required: 3 years of experience as SAP Basis Administrator, SAP Basis Consultant, Application Developer, Software Engineer, or related occupation.

Special Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:

1. SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Cloud Foundry, SAP HANA Cloud, including SAP Data Warehouse Cloud and SAP Datasphere administration, data tiering, memory management, HANA Cloud parameter management, and monitoring using SAP HANA Cockpit, SAP DBACOCKPIT, and SQL-based analysis tools.
2. SAP lifecycle, system installations, upgrades, patching, kernel updates, system refreshes, SAP HANA system replication, disaster recovery configuration, and migration activities using tools including Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM), Software Update Manager (SUM), SPAM/SAINT.
3. SAP system performance optimization and troubleshooting, SAP transport management, ChaRM processes, and landscape coordination across Development, Quality, and Production environments.
4. Database administration with Microsoft SQL Server, including backup and recovery, database restores, SQL profiling, and maintenance activities using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
5. System security and compliance, including support for SAP license audits, security audits, Segregation of Duties (SoD) reviews, user and role analysis, audit reporting, and remediation support.
6. Cloud-based environments and managed database services within at least one of the following: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or SAP-managed cloud landscapes.
7. Linux/Windows server administration activities related to SAP environments, including patching, filesystem management, and scripting.
8. ITIL framework, including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Service Request Management, and production support processes using ServiceNow or Jira.

Salary: $117,499 to $189,000 per year
