Job summary

System Soft Technologies is seeking a senior SAP Basis professional to assist with complex SAP environments, including HANA and SQL Server, across lifecycle implementations. You will run performance monitoring, transport processing, DR planning, and interface support within a hybrid IT landscape.

The role requires strong communication skills, team collaboration, and the ability to translate technical detail for leadership and stakeholders in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior-level SAP Basis administration experience.
• Hands-on application and database administration for SAP ABAP and Java NetWeaver, including S/4HANA exposure.
• Experience leading at least 10 full SAP lifecycle implementations or version upgrades.
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems supporting SAP products.
• Experience providing application support for SAP S/4HANA, C/4HANA, and/or BW/4HANA.
• SAP Basis certifications.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with SAP-related cloud, server, OS, disk, and network requirement identification for SAP environments.
• Perform installation, upgrades, and patching of SAP applications, add-ons, and components.
• Manage SAP HANA and Microsoft SQL Server installations and patches.
• Perform database administration including backups, recoveries, and security-compliant operations.
• Provide application administration for SAP and related databases, including performance tuning and transport processing.
• Support ERP Basis activities and liaise with ERP development teams and project stakeholders.

Job description

• Assist with identifying cloud, server, operating system, disk, and network requirements needed by SAP applications and associated database platforms.
• Perform installation, upgrades, and patching of SAP applications, add‑ons, plug‑ins, and vendor components.
• Perform installation, upgrades, and patching of SAP HANA and Microsoft SQL Server platforms.
• Database administration including backup, recovery, and general administrative management while adhering to security policies.
• Application administration which includes, but is not limited to, supporting and managing - in an administrative capacity - the SAP applications, utilized database platforms, and client landscape. In detail, this includes performance monitoring and tuning, system & client refreshes, TMS administration and transport processing, issue resolution and cause analysis, disaster recovery planning and implementation, assistance with interface and system integration of both SAP and non-SAP applications, application printing
• infrastructure, and front-end desktop and end-user support
• Provide ongoing support to SAP users and ERP functional and development teams. Represent the ERP Basis Team in project activities, ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to timelines.

Skills Required:

• 10+ years of senior‑level SAP Basis administration experience supporting large SAP environments.
• Must have hands‑on application and database administrative experience supporting both SAP ABAP and Java NetWeaver applications, including exposure to S/4HANA within a hybrid virtual mixed operating system environment.
• Experience assisting or technically leading at least 10 full SAP lifecycle implementations and/or version upgrades.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems supporting SAP applications and databases.
• Experience providing application support for SAP S/4HANA, C/4HANA, and/or BW/4HANA
