Job description

We are looking for a skilled and proactive SAP Basis Administrator at a Mid to Senior level to manage and support our SAP environments. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of SAP systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient SAP operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP System Administration: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SAP systems, including SAP NetWeaver, ECC, S/4HANA, and other related modules.
• System Monitoring and Optimization: Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply corrective actions to ensure optimal performance of SAP systems.
• Transport Management: Manage and resolve transport issues across different SAP environments (development, quality, production).
• Security and Authorization Management: Implement and manage user authorizations, profiles, and security configurations for SAP systems.
• Patch Management: Plan and execute SAP support packages, patches, and updates in line with best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams (e.g., Database Administrators, Infrastructure Engineers, and Development teams) to resolve complex system issues and maintain seamless operations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation related to system configuration, troubleshooting, and operational processes.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis Administration, with hands-on experience in managing complex SAP landscapes.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP Basis administration, including SAP HANA, SAP NetWeaver, and other relevant SAP modules.
• Skills:
  • In-depth understanding of SAP installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations.
  • Experience with database administration (SAP HANA, Oracle, etc.).
  • Proficiency in SAP client copy, system refresh, and data transport processes.
  • Strong knowledge of AIX and Linux operating systems for SAP environments.
  • Familiarity with hardware infrastructure and its integration with SAP systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning for SAP environments.
• Certifications: SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations and migrations.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g. Azure) and SAP cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripts for SAP Basis tasks.
