Qualifications

SAP Basis Administrator

Clearance Level – Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance –Authorized to Work in the US – Must be able to obtain an Active Clearance

About the Role:

Aquila is seeking a SAP Basis Administrator to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The System Administrator will be responsible for the following responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Migration Support: Assist in the migration from SAP BW on HANA to BW/4HANA, including data model changes, system configuration, and performance optimization.
  • Basis Administration for on-prem and cloud SAP products – S/4, SRM, BW, Business Objects, Portal and SAP BTP/Analytics Cloud, including transports, installation, monitoring and other support activities.
  • Red Hat Linux administration as needed to configure and administer SAP Netweaver.
  • Configure connections/integration between on-prem, external, and SaaS applications/databases.
  • Monitor and upgrade SAP products, triage issues, and manage security and users.
  • Perform sizing, compliance, performance tuning, configuration of SAP BTP and Cloud Connector.
  • Identify and manage dependencies with other systems, databases, SSO, and security.
  • Work on server level change requests and deploy content to production.

There are a few requirements for the position:

  • Must be a U.S Citizen- Authorized to Work in the US – Must be able to obtain an Active Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
  • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)

Required Experience:

  • Experience in SAP Basis Administration in S/4HANA or BW.
  • Experience in application security design.
  • Service pack and patch upgrade experience.
  • Working knowledge of the software lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Skill in platform/technical requirements collection and analysis to identify needs.
  • OS (RHEL and Windows) administration as it relates to SAP application administration.
  • Ability to work with operations teams and vendors to resolve infrastructure and integration related issues.
  • Ability to work independently toward delivery of goals as well as collaborate in team efforts.
  • Ability to develop and help drive implementation best practice / standards and guidelines.
  • Effective communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must Have:

  • 3 years – Platform/Technical Requirements Collection and Analysis.
  • 5 years – Software Lifecycle and Methodologies.
  • 2 years – Experience working with operations team and vendors to resolve infrastructure and integration related issues.

Security Experience:

  • 1 year Application Security Design.

Soft Skills:

  • 3 years – Independent Contribution and Collaboration.
  • Strong team communication.

Systems Experience:

  • 5 years – Experience in SAP Basis Administration in S/4HANA or BW.
  • 2 years – OS/SAP Application Administration (RHEL and Windows).
  • 3 years – Service Pack and Patch Upgrade.

Nice to Have:

  • Data/Reporting Experience.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and client server concepts.
  • Experience in an implementation and operational support role.
  • SAP Cloud Identity (IAS and IPS).
  • Manage SAP S/4 HANA system landscape on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP.
  • SAP Analytics Cloud or similar system (sizing, installation, planning and configuration).
  • ServiceNow (incident, service requests, and change management).

Clearance:
Willing to review candidates who can obtain an interim secret clearance. –Authorized to Work in the US

Work from home:
This position is REMOTE. Candidates are able to work remotely from any location. They may be asked to take up to 4 trips per calendar year to Lexington, MA if the program/project requires it.
