Job summary

Welser Profile is seeking a Production Planner/Scheduling professional in Ohio to create and manage production orders, capacity reservations, and detailed schedules. The role coordinates with manufacturing teams to ensure on-time delivery and maintains master data for accurate scheduling.

Strong SAP/MRP knowledge and Excel skills are required, with German language skills a plus. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience and can handle shifting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or similar) and MRP essential.
• Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
• Excellent organizational and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• English required; German a plus.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and release production orders.
• Create and maintain capacity reservations to support production requirements.
• Analyze production capacity needs and coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure on-time delivery performance.
• Review and release purchase requisitions within SAP.
• Develop detailed production schedules and coordinate availability of materials and production aids.
• Identify scheduling and planning conflicts and implement corrective actions.
• Manage and communicate delivery delays, coordinating updates with Sales and customers.
• Review production orders for completeness and readiness for execution.
• Prepare, maintain, and archive production-related documentation.
• Maintain planning-related master data to support accurate scheduling and reporting.
• Provide backup support for planning and administrative functions.
