Job summary

Machine Learning Technologies, LLC in Conshohocken, PA seeks an experienced SAP Data Archiving Specialist to identify inactive SAP data, archive it safely, and manage storage while ensuring compliance with business and legal requirements.

You will configure the archiving environment, execute SARA-based jobs, monitor data growth, coordinate with SAP teams, and implement data retention policies aligned with GDPR and SOX.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of SAP experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Data Archiving.
• Knowledge of Archiving Object configuration and SARA.
• Experience with archiving write, delete, and read jobs.
• Understanding of database growth and data volume management.
• Knowledge of data retention policies and archiving processes.
• Experience coordinating with SAP Basis, functional and business teams.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Archiving Specialist with strong knowledge of SAP data archiving, data volume management, and data retention processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying inactive SAP data, archiving it safely, managing storage, and ensuring compliance with business and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain the technical SAP archiving environment, including file paths and storage systems such as SAP Content Server.
• Execute and monitor SAP data archiving jobs using transaction SARA.
• Manage archiving, deletion, and retrieval of archived data.
• Monitor database growth and improve system performance through effective data volume management.
• Coordinate with SAP functional teams and business stakeholders to identify data eligible for archiving.
• Define and follow data retention policies based on business requirements and legal regulations.
• Ensure that active business data is not archived prematurely.
• Manage approval workflows and coordinate between technical, functional, and business teams.
• Follow data privacy, data retention, and data destruction policies.
• Support compliance requirements related to regulations such as GDPR and SOX.
