Job summary

Job description

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure human safety, food safety, adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices, and product quality are prioritized.
• Replenish supplies, clean restrooms, mop floors, empty trash and replace liners, and perform other housekeeping duties.
• Report chemical inventory to Ecolab; order chemicals or review with manager as needed.
• Assist with wash-down inspections.
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals, dispense chemicals at stations, perform titrations, and calculate measurement concentrations.
• Safely handle full-strength chemicals with full PPE.
• Remove debris from warehouse and facility walkways; separate reusable scrap and load onto trailers; bale cardboard and plastic for recycling.
• Clean floors with mop and bucket or walk-behind/riding floor scrubber.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, dust furniture and equipment, polish metalwork, wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Replenish bathroom supplies and replace light bulbs.
• Perform grounds maintenance in all seasons, including removing snow, trash, or spills from plant grounds.
• Perform all other related duties as required.

Experience, Education & Qualifications

• Six months to one year of related experience or equivalent training.
• Fluent in English, able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, SOPs, and write routine reports.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
• Apply common-sense reasoning to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions; solve problems with multiple concrete variables.

Physical Demands

• Regular walking, standing, using hands, fingers, and arms; reaching with hands and arms.
• Occasional lifting or moving up to 55 pounds; frequent lifting or moving up to 55 pounds; bending, twisting, and reaching frequently.
• Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Salary & Benefits

$19 - $23 an hour, with a shift premium of $1.00.

Salary Base Range of $19.00 - $23.00 per hour for Employees Located in Illinois.

Employees will receive a shift premium of $1.00.
