Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City seeks a PRN Sanitation and Stocking Worker to support the Food and Nutrition Services Storeroom. You will store and stock food items, keep storeroom clean, manage inventory, and assist with tray line and deliveries to nursing areas daily.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of experience; a Food Handlers Permit must be obtained within 30 days of start. Hospital experience is desirable, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper storage of food and non-food received.
• Maintain the storage area in a clean and orderly manner according to regulatory guidelines and document corrective action if needed.
• Ensure appropriate inventory levels.
• Stock the cafeteria and service areas with required service ware and food items to ensure efficient operation.
• Assist with monthly inventory, daily orders and maintaining all kitchen utensils, equipment and surfaces in a sanitary manner.
• Assist with tray line, delivery of food and late tray carts to nursing areas daily.
• Dishwashing and other sanitation as needed.

What qualifications you will need: The Food and Nutrition Services Stocker department disperses food and supplies received from vendors to the appropriate storage location in a timely and accurate manner. The responsibilities of the Storeroom Associate also include providing a safe and orderly food service storeroom area for our facility.
