Job summary

Hawaiian Host Group (HHG) is seeking a Night Sanitation Associate to perform sanitation tasks in our food production facility on Oahu. The role requires adherence to SSOPs and cGMPs, with a 4:00 PM start and a heavy emphasis on safety and accuracy in chemical usage.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, experience in a food processing environment, and the stamina to lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

  • Must read, understand, and apply written procedures.
  • Experience in a food processing facility is helpful.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs continuously and 50 lbs frequently.
  • Knowledge of cGMPs is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily sanitation per SSOPs.
  • Mix and apply chemicals correctly during cleaning.
  • Review and act on sanitation deficiency findings.
  • Conduct post-operational swab testing.
  • Maintain high attendance and punctuality.
  • Support during off-hours for sanitation emergencies.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing and complying with company sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP’s).

Night Shift Schedule: Starts at 4:00 PM

  • Performs daily sanitation duties as described in sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP's).
  • Mixes proper and correct chemical usage during cleaning.
  • Reviews daily sanitation deficiency findings and takes corrective actions.
  • Performs post-operational swab testing.
  • Regular attendance is required for the position.
  • May be called on during off-duty hours to assist with emergencies related to sanitation activities.
  • Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Experience in a food processing facility; previous sanitation experience helpful.
  • Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 25 lbs. constantly; 25-50lbs frequently; greater than 50lbs. occasionally.
  • Knowledge of cGMPs.
  • Able to read, understand, interpret, and apply written instructions.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, incl. days, evenings, and weekends.
  • TB clearance from valid medical provider as required by the State of Hawaii, Dept. of Health
