Job summary

Hawaiian Host Group (HHG) is seeking a quality-focused individual to support microbiological testing, product sampling, and quality analysis of in-shell nuts. This role contributes to GMP compliance and overall food-safety objectives.

Responsibilities include assisting the QA team, upholding safety standards, and the ability to work night shifts and extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and factory or lab experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills with Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Read, write, speak, and follow instructions; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist microbiological testing, specification tests, and WIS kernel recovery.
• Assist with product sampling and quality analysis of nuts in shell.
• Follow GMP for food processing.
• Support QA team and other duties as needed.
• Follow all safety standards and procedures.
• May work night shifts and extended hours.

• Assists withMicrobiological Testing,Specification Tests, andWIS (wet in shell) kernel recovery, water chemistry, fresh water, and autoclave operations.
• Assistswith bothproduct samplingandquality analysis of nut in shell.
• Must followall Good Manufacturing Practices for food processing.
• Performs other work-related duties as neededand willbe responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Team.
• Must follow all company safety standards and procedures.
• Must be able to work night shifts and extended daily work hours.
• Regular attendance is required for the position.
• Basicmath skills are required.
• A high school diplomaand experience in a factory or lab environmentis preferred.
• Must havebasiccomputer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must have strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, work under pressure, and be able to meet required deadlines.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted.
• Good communication skills,both verbal and written, and the ability to follow instructions are required.
• Seldom:Reaching overhead, pinching, gripping, squatting, climbing, lifting >20 lbs.
• Occasional:Walking, finger dexterity, pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. using a pallet jack
• Frequent:Wrist movement, repetitive motion,lifting upto 50 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Constant:Standing, depthperception, carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and co-workers.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, receive verbal and written instruction, and apply basic math skills.
• Exposureto noise (85+ dB).
• Exposure to heat (up to 85 degrees F) and cold (up to 60 degrees F).
• May work at heights above 3 ft.
• Exposure to dust.
• Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards.
