Job summary

Pleasant Prairie, WI—LACOSTA Facility Support Services is seeking a Sanitation Worker to maintain a clean, safe production area in a state-of-the-art facility. Responsibilities include sanitizing equipment, assisting with disassembly/reassembly for cleaning, and following strict food safety standards.

Schedule options feature four 10-hour shifts with varying workdays, and training in PPE and safe chemical handling is provided.

Qualifications

• Pass background check and drug screening.
• Familiarity with basic sanitation and food safety practices.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Physically capable of standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and working in wet or humid environments.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment and facilities according to schedules.
• Disassemble and reassemble food processing equipment for thorough cleaning.
• Use industrial cleaning chemicals and sanitizers safely.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, drains, ceilings and surfaces in production and packaging areas.
• Handle and dispose of waste materials and recyclables properly.
• Wear required PPE and follow safety protocols.

Join our team as a Sanitation Worker at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. In this important role, you’ll help maintain a clean and safe production environment by sanitizing equipment, tools, and facility areas while following food safety standards. Your attention to detail helps ensure the quality and safety of the products we produce every day.

Job Schedule: (4) 10 hour shifts

Schedule A:

Workdays - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

• 8AM-6:30PM

Schedule B:

Workdays - Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

Job Duties:

• Clean and sanitize production equipment (mixers, conveyors, molds, packaging machines, etc.) according to daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation schedules.
• Disassemble and reassemble food processing equipment to ensure thorough cleaning and proper functioning.
• Use industrial cleaning chemicals and sanitizers safely and effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, drains, ceilings, and other surfaces in production and packaging areas.
• Handle and dispose of waste materials and recyclables properly.
• Safe handling and proper disposal of sanitation chemicals.
• Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follow all safety protocols.
• Working from heights/aerial lifts. (All training/certification will be provided)

Requirements:

• Pass background check and drug screening
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Familiarity with basic sanitation and food safety practices.
• Physically capable of standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and working in wet or humid environments for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and wet conditions.
• Must be able to work around sweet aromas and food ingredients (e.g., gelatin, corn syrup, food coloring).

Candidates in the janitorial, cleaning, sanitation or general labor do very well in this position.
