Job summary

LACOSTA Facility Support Services is hiring an Industrial Cleaner / Sanitation Associate in Battle Creek, MI. Starting pay is $18.25–$19.00 per hour, with a 7:30 AM–4:30 PM schedule, Monday–Friday.

You will sanitize equipment and facilities to meet food-safety standards in a fast-paced production environment. You must pass a background check and drug screening, and demonstrate attention to detail and strong safety awareness in English.

Qualifications

• Experience following GMPs and SSOPs.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment (mixers, conveyors, molds, packaging machines, etc.) according to daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation schedules.
• Disassemble and reassemble food processing equipment to ensure thorough cleaning and proper functioning.
• Use industrial cleaning chemicals and sanitizers safely and effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, drains, ceilings, and other surfaces in production and packaging areas.
• Handle and dispose of waste materials and recyclables properly.
• Safe handling and proper disposal of sanitation chemicals.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including checklists and cleaning logs.
• Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or sanitation issues to supervisors promptly.
• Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to support a safe and efficient workflow.
• Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follow all safety protocols.
