Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates to join a safety-conscious team in a fast-paced facility. The role offers a competitive wage with a $2.00 shift differential, totaling $20.00 per hour, plus benefits. Prior experience is not required; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Primary duties include cleaning and sanitation, pallet handling, inventory scanning, and operating basic warehouse equipment. Overtime may be available depending on demand.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming surfaces.
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.
• Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
• Clean spills or breakages per food safety standards and determine resalable items.
• Clean other areas of the warehouse and offices; complete daily sanitation logs.
• Utilize chemicals, detergents, and cleaning equipment; operate scrubber and pallet jacks.
• Able to identify sanitation issues; comply with safety requirements and escalate as needed.
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system; other tasks as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming surfaces

Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable

Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis

Clean up any spills or breakages to the inventoried product; recoup damages and determine if resalable or must be disposed of per food safety standards and requirements

Clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, restrooms, offices, etc.

Complete daily sanitation logs

Utilize chemicals, detergents, and cleaning equipment

Operate scrubber and pallet jacks if required to perform duties

Able to identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues

Complies with all safety requirements

Escalate issues timely and directly to supervisor

Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system

Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• No prior experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
