Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates to join a safety‑conscious team in Tracy, CA. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, sanitary warehouse and office in line with company standards.

Schedule is 5:00am–1:30pm Tue–Sat; pay is $19.57/hr. Benefits include PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, boot allowance after 90 days, and Associate Referral Program. This is a climate‑controlled Cold Storage facility.

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Flexible to work overtime preferred.
• Ability to work in climate-controlled conditions required.

Responsibilities

• Mop, sweep, scrub, and vacuum surfaces daily.
• Empty trash and clean trash area daily; operate trash compactor when applicable.
• Pull pallets and clean/scrub product bays on a rotating basis.
• Clean spills and determine disposition per safety standards.
• Complete daily sanitation logs.
• Operate scrubber and pallet jacks as needed.
• Scan products using the warehouse management system.
• Adhere to safety requirements and escalate issues.

Position Summary:

Under warehouse supervision, a sanitation worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary warehouse and office in a manner that is consistent with the company's standards of quality and safety, and productivity.

Note- this is a Cold Storage facility: 28° F to 55° F

Major Responsibilities:

• Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming surfaces
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable
• Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis
• Clean up any spills or breakages to the inventoried product; recoup damages and determine if resalable or must be disposed of per food safety standards and requirements
• Clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, restrooms, offices, etc.
• Complete daily sanitation logs
• Utilize chemicals, detergents, and cleaning equipment
• Operate scrubber and pallet jacks if required to perform duties
• Able to identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Escalate issues timely and directly to supervisor
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
