Job summary

Penske Logistics is looking for a sanitation worker to maintain a clean, sanitary warehouse and office in a manner consistent with the company’s standards of quality and safety. This cold storage facility operates at 28° F to 55° F, and the role supports overall productivity and food safety.

Schedule is 5:00am - 1:30pm Tuesday - Saturday (5/8's). Compensation is $19.57/hr with a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, medical, dental, vision, 401K, boot allowance, and referral programs.

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time.
• Willingness to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.
• Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
• Clean up any spills or breakages to the inventoried product; recoup damages and determine if resalable or must be disposed of per food safety standards and requirements.
• Clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, restrooms, offices, etc.
• Complete daily sanitation logs.
• Utilize chemicals, detergents, and cleaning equipment.
• Operate scrubber and pallet jacks if required to perform duties.
• Able to identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues.
• Complies with all safety requirements.
• Escalate issues timely and directly to supervisor.
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job


• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
