Penske Logistics in Shippensburg, PA is hiring warehouse associates to join an energetic team. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and a friendly, professional attitude in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

You will perform cleaning, pallet handling, sanitation logs, and use a warehouse management system. Competitive pay is $18 base plus $2 shift differential, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to read, follow directions, and work independently.
• Flexible to work overtime and maintain attendance.
• Must be safety conscious and follow safety requirements.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties including mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Empty trash and remove waste; operate trash compactor as needed.
• Pull pallets and clean product bays on rotation.
• Clean spills; assess damages for resale or disposal.
• Clean warehouse and break rooms; complete daily sanitation logs.
• Use chemicals, detergents, cleaning equipment; operate scrubber and pallet jacks if required.
• Identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues; comply with safety requirements.
• Escalate issues to supervisor; scan products using warehouse management system.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming surfaces

Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable

Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis

Clean up any spills or breakages to the inventoried product; recoup damages and determine if resalable or must be disposed of per food safety standards and requirements

Clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, restrooms, offices, etc.

Complete daily sanitation logs

Utilize chemicals, detergents, and cleaning equipment

Operate scrubber and pallet jacks if required to perform duties

Able to identify and address cleanliness and sanitation issues

Complies with all safety requirements

Escalate issues timely and directly to supervisor

Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system

Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• No prior experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
