Abby's Catering has been providing a one-of-a-kind culinary and hospitality experience since 1980. Our customers include high-profile passengers visiting or residing in Houston, such as celebrities, government officials, heads of state, secretaries, and industry leaders. They travel out of Houston aboard private, corporate, and commercial aircraft. Abby's also offers exclusive gourmet delights for corporate offices, private and corporate events, as well as food service management contracts.

Position:

Sanitation and Porter Staff

Responsibilities:

1. Operate work equipment, silverware, and sanitation processes on assigned shifts to meet sanitation, quality, food safety, and cost standards.
2. Process incoming airline equipment sanitation and internal distribution.
3. Perform building cleaning according to the master schedule.
4. Assemble equipment and beverage carts, and prepare cutlery rollups per customer instructions.
5. Ensure all customer specifications are met.
6. Comply with all food safety rules and regulations.
7. Meet all kitchen ready times for flights.
8. Assist in monitoring employee productivity and suggest improvements.
9. Follow all company policies and procedures.
10. Participate in safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments.
11. Provide excellent customer service daily.
12. Maintain good relations with colleagues and other departments.
13. Ensure timely and complete deliveries, fulfilling process deadlines.
14. Adhere to HACCP/GMP and sanitation policies.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Flexible work schedules within a 24/7 environment, including overnight shifts.
• Experience in leadership, management, and training.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Experience with conveyor belt dishwashers and industrial equipment.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of food and hygiene standards; Food Handler Certificate required (e.g., ServSafe); Food Protection Manager Certification a plus.
• Airline catering industry knowledge is a plus.
