Job summary

J&J Snack Foods is hiring a Sanitor to provide daily sanitation services in a fast-paced bakery environment. You will clean, sanitize, and disassemble/reassemble processing equipment according to SOPs, and work in hot and cold areas while ensuring safety standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning conveyors, tanks, and floors, with potential training to operate forklift or scissor lift as needed. This hourly role requires physical stamina and reliable teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in food processing sanitation and cleaning SOPs.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Physical stamina for standing and lifting throughout shifts.

POSITION SUMMARY:

To provide daily and scheduled sanitation services to Uptown Bakeries safely and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Cleaning, sanitizing, and disassembling -reassemble equipment

• according to SOP procedures.

• Works in a hot and cold environment.

• Cleans processing equipment, overhead pipes, and conveyors in a

wet and dry environment.

• Scrubs processing tanks and kettles, conveyors.

• Sweeps and mops floors and scrubs walls.

• Follows SOP sanitation cleaning procedures.

• May be trained to operate forklift and scissor lift.

• Uses cleaning chemicals, water hose, brushes, and air wand.

• Exposed to chemicals.

• Moderate to heavy lifting.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and move around.
