US Hourly Pay Range

$16 - $16 USD

POSITION SUMMARY

This position assists in the daily sanitation clean‑up of the entire plant area. It also requires the ability to utilize time productively and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Follows outlined duties in assigned plant sanitation areas, including painting and scraping.
• Follows sanitation procedures during downtime clean‑ups.
• Performs tasks assigned during special clean‑ups.
• Accomplishes mechanical tasks using a wide variety of hand and power tools.
• Completes other related work as required.
• Complies with all safety regulations and follows safe methods in sanitation and chemical use.
• Reports all accidents/injuries and unsafe conditions to the QA Manager or Supervisor.
• Maintains required logs.
• Assists janitorial staff as directed.
• Uses panel views to operate equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

To perform this job successfully, the Sanitation employee must be self‑motivated, able to problem‑solve, detail‑oriented, and able to stay on task. The prerequisites include:

• Work with limited supervision; follow written and verbal instructions.
• Perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Communicate effectively in English commensurate with the role requirements.
• Knowledgeable in GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, sanitation practices, and product trace & recovery pertaining to the food industry.
• Maintain personal hygiene meeting company and government sanitation requirements; abide by safety rules as outlined in company policies and procedures.
• Comfortable with moderate noise levels in the work environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate, or up to one month of related experience or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
