Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful Completion of Powered Industrial Truck Operators Training (PITOT) certification required (training provided by company).
• Strong communication in English and attention to detail.
• Ability to count, write numbers and maintain safety and attendance history.
• Willingness to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Clean the warehouse, offices, restrooms, break rooms and exterior grounds.
• Gather debris and trash to designated areas for re-coupe or disposal.
• Track dumped product for inventory adjustments and report numbers.
• Sweep, mop and dust warehouse areas and break rooms, restrooms, offices and exterior grounds.
• Maintain pest control stations per SAL policy.
• Fill out required paperwork for job completion tracking.
• Safely operate heavy machinery such as pallet jacks, sit-down forklift, floor scrubber, and reach trucks.
• Adhere to company policies, standards and best practices.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday: 7:00am start

Sunday - Thursday: 7:00am start

Sunday/Monday/Thursday/Friday: 5:00am start

Purpose

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the general cleaning of the warehouse, offices, restrooms, break rooms and exterior grounds of the Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

• Gather debris and trash such as cardboard, tape, shrink wrap, paper and damaged product resulting from distribution functions, taking items to designated areas for re-coupe or disposal
• Track dumped product for proper inventory adjustments and report numbers to the inventory department
• Sweep, mop and dust warehouse areas including but not limited to break rooms, restrooms, offices and exterior grounds
• Maintain pest control stations as required by SAL policy
• Fill out required paperwork for job completion tracking.
• Safely operate heavy machinery such as pallet jacks, sit down forklift, floor scrubber, and reach trucks
• Adhere to company policies, standards and best practices

About You

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, bend, walk, kneel, squat, turn, reach, pull, push and lift up to 85 pounds, in a fast pace environment for extended period of time
• Regularly works in freezers, coolers and refrigerators in temperatures as low as -15 degrees Fahrenheit
• Must have the ability to stand, walk and / or move about for extended periods of time
• Requires the ability to push, pull, grasp, twist and use sawing motions for extended periods of time
