Job summary

Mastronardi Produce USA, Inc. is seeking a sanitation-oriented candidate for a full-time warehouse sanitation role in Michigan.

Schedule: Sunday-Tuesday with every other Wednesday, 5am-5pm, and duties including interior/exterior cleaning, production line sanitation, and strict adherence to Health & Safety and Food Safety policies. The role requires operating forklifts and other cleaning equipment, lifting up to 30 lbs, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated with a positive attitude and work independently with minimal supervision
• Must follow all Health & Safety and Food Safety policies and regulations
• Must handle all chemicals safely as prescribed
• Must minimize damage to equipment and property while performing duties

Responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning duties for interior and exterior warehouse
• Clean production lines with conventional and organic cleaning
• Work as a team member and follow directions
• Attend training for Sanitation, Health & Safety and Food Safety; adhere to company policies
• Wear personal protective equipment as prescribed
• Operate machinery safely (e.g., fork-lift, scissor-lift, weed whacker, vacuums, floor scrubber, pressure washers)
• Break down of equipment and heavy lifting as needed
• Maintain records as prescribed

• Assist with cleaning duties for both the interior and exterior warehouse
• Assist with conventional and organic cleaning on production lines
• Work as a team member; follow directions and offer support and suggestions when necessary
• Attend all training for Sanitation, Health & Safety and Food Safety, adhere and maintain compliance to all company policies, rules and regulations
• Wear personal protective equipment as prescribed
• Operate all machinery and equipment safely, as prescribed (e.g., fork-lift, scissor-lift, weed whacker, vacuums, floor scrubber, pressure washers, etc)
• Do some heavy lifting and break-down of equipment
• Maintain records as prescribed

Education/Background Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One-year related work experience preferred

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Must be self-motivated with a positive attitude, show willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision, take ownership of job, with a strong degree of professionalism and personal integrity
• Must follow all company policies, rules and regulations – especially those for Health & Safety and Food Safety

Working Conditions:

• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing facility
• Working conditions included refrigerate warehouses (30 F to 70 F)
• Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs
