Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Deerfield Beach, FL is seeking a Maintenance & Equipment role in Manufacturing to support sanitation and equipment upkeep across production areas.

Responsibilities include cleaning, disassembling/reassembling equipment, handling chemicals, operating floor scrubber, and coordinating with departments to meet sanitation needs. Ability to lift 30+ lbs and flexible shifts are required; forklift license preferred. Benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to push or pull heavy equipment.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift license and operate a forklift.
• Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with GMPs.
• Must demonstrate safe working habits.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble detachable production equipment.
• Apply chemicals on equipment and in environmental locations.
• Organize and clean kitchen, trash dock, and storage areas.
• Transport racks, tubs, cardboard, and equipment using forklift or pallet jack.
• Maintain cleanliness of walls, vents, doors, drains, and garbage cans.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to meet sanitation needs.
• Organize air and water hoses.
• Rinse out all empty drums.
• Maintain chemical storage area.
• Operate and maintain floor scrubber.
• Assist with housekeeping duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
