Job summary

Publix Super Markets in Georgia is seeking a sanitation associate to clean and maintain production equipment, apply chemicals, and support multiple departments to meet cleanliness standards. You will operate a forklift, handle heavy lifting, and work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to push or pull heavy equipment.

• Maintain cleanliness of walls, vents, doors, drains, and garbage cans.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to meet sanitation needs.
• Operate and maintain floor scrubber.
• Perform duties as assigned.
• Support housekeeping across areas.

• Applying various chemicals on different equipment, as well as in environmental locations
• Organizing and cleaning of kitchen, trash dock, and storage areas
• Transporting of racks, tubs, cardboard, and equipment to specific areas which will include the use of a forklift and or pallet jack

• Rinsing out all empty drums
• Helping maintain chemical storage area

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
