Job summary

Naturpak in Janesville, WI is seeking a Sanitation Operator to clean and sanitize production equipment, utensils, and work areas in a high-volume food manufacturing environment. You will follow SSOPs and Master Sanitation Schedules, prepare and apply chemicals, document cleaning records, and help ensure compliance with FDA, USDA and Naturpak safety standards.

Candidates should have at least 1 year in sanitation or related cleaning operations, read SSOPs, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and work

Qualifications

• 1+ year sanitation or related cleaning experience preferred.
• Able to read and follow SSOPs and sanitation records accurately.
• Willing to work with industrial cleaning chemicals with proper PPE.
• Reliable attendance and ability to cover early morning, late night or weekend shifts.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, utensils, and surrounding areas per SSOPs and Master Sanitation Schedules.
• Disassemble and reassemble designated equipment components per procedures.
• Prepare and use cleaning chemicals at required concentrations; follow PPE and safety procedures.
• Complete sanitation records accurately and in real time; document concentrations, contact times, and sign-offs.
• Report equipment damage or cleaning deficiencies to supervisor immediately.
• Support preoperational inspections and correct identified cleaning issues before production start.
• Maintain chemical storage areas per HAZMAT and SDS requirements.
• Follow GMP, food safety, OSHA and Naturpak safety requirements at all times.
