Job summary

Ventura Foods in Birmingham, AL is hiring for a sanitation role responsible for cleaning and sanitizing processing areas and equipment in accordance with SQF, GMP, FSMA, and Preventative Controls. The role requires following all safety policies and maintaining accurate records.

You will train new hires and perform equipment maintenance tasks as needed. We offer a base salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years sanitation experience preferred in food manufacturing.
• Must understand safety and sanitation procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Follow Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and maintain records.
• Document chemical concentrations, solution temps, and flow rates.
• Inspect equipment after cleaning with high attention to detail.
• Disassemble/reassemble equipment and perform power washing and sanitizing.
• Train new hires and transfers; forklift/hand lift trained.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
