Job summary

Seneca Foods in Yuma, AZ is seeking a Sanitation Technician 1 to join our team. The role focuses on cleaning and sanitizing processing equipment, warehouse areas, and environments to maintain strict hygiene standards across the facility.

The position requires working in wet environments, lifting up to 50 lbs, and compliance with GMPs, SSOPs, and QRMP. Night and weekend availability may be required.

• Read and follow detailed chemical label instructions for sanitation programs and SOPs.
• Strong communication, listening, speaking and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work area with focus on safety hazards.
• Collect raw materials and finish products as needed.
• Dispose of raw materials per requirements.
• Follow SOPs, GMPs and company policies accurately.
• Perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
• Work in wet environments and use PPE per guidelines.
• Adhere to SSOPs and report equipment issues to leadership.
• Sanitize equipment and areas per sanitation procedures.
• Prevent cross-contamination and document sanitation steps.
• Be flexible to take on additional sanitation duties as required.
