Job summary

Nature’s Path in Sussex, WI is seeking a Sanitation Technician - Days to join our team. You will uphold GMPs, clean equipment, and maintain a sanitary production environment to ensure safe products.

The role requires standing for long shifts (5:50 AM to 6:00 PM), lifting up to 50 lbs, and coordinating with receiving, production, and maintenance to keep downtime low. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Wash and sanitize plant equipment per SOPs.
• Know safety equipment and chemicals used for cleaning.
• Follow LOTO program and read MSDS information.
• Maintain a sanitary work environment inside and out.
• Coordinate with other departments to prioritize sanitation tasks.
• Collect cardboard, trash, plastic, and wastewater.
• Work in a team to minimize production downtime.
• Report safety issues to supervisor promptly.
• Ensure finished goods are labeled and staged for shipping.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Sanitation Technician - Days to join our team!

Shift Hours: 2-2-3 Schedule from 5:50AM to 6:00PM

Pay rate: $21.42

The Sanitation Technician you are responsible for maintaining a sanitary environment necessary for the production of safe and legal products. This includes organizing, maintaining, and operating a sanitary process environment to optimize production and minimize food safety risks, and managing pest population to minimize potential for product adulteration and/or contamination.

A Taste of the Job:

• Ensuring that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) guidelines are adhered to.
• Washing all plant equipment as required.
• Knowing with safety equipment is needed to perform a specific job task and what chemicals are used to clean with
• Following all aspects of the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) program Knowing where the MSDS is located and how to read them.
• Maintaining a sanitary work environment inside and out.
• Communicating with other departments to prioritize the sanitation schedule.
• Collecting cardboard, trash, plastic, and wastewater.
• Working in a team environment to decrease production downtime.
• Maintaining a safe work environment for the team and notifying the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager of any equipment or personnel safety issues. Ensuring that all finished goods are properly labeled and staged for shipping.
• Maintaining an accurate and detailed operator’s log.

Path for Success:

• High school diploma or GED
• The ability to communicate and understand verbal directions effectively and efficiently in the English language, both verbal and written.
• Basic math and computer skills desirable
• Must be able to stand for 12 hours
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
