Job summary

NATURE is seeking a Sanitation Technician to maintain a clean, compliant plant environment in Blaine, WA. The role involves following GMPs, executing sanitation tasks, and supporting continuous improvement while maintaining a safe work area.

The position requires passing lift certifications, English communication, basic math and computer skills, and a willingness to undergo assessments and background checks. Includes strong benefits and a shift pattern of 4 on/4 off, 6 PM–6:30 AM.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Pass in-house certification tests for scissor lifts and boom trucks.
  • Basic math and computer skills required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure GMPs are followed.
  • Follow cleaning procedures using benchmarks and SSOPs.
  • Monitor wastewater production and reduction.
  • Assist all production areas in sanitation practices.
  • Wash plant equipment as required.
  • Ensure compliance with US FDA and NOP Organic standards.
  • Participate in monthly internal audits and Continuous Improvement teams.
  • Trade in cardboard, trash, plastic, and wastewater; support team effort to reduce downtime.

Job description

Our Sanitation Techs are a cornerstone to our success as a plant--both to ensure a safe & clean facility, but also for the advancement of our processes and pushing benchmarks for our Master Sanitation schedule. While this role requires basic cleaning procedures and common plant auditing, ideal candidates will succeed on our team if they enjoy variety and are driven by a sense of accomplishment. We are also looking for team members who bring an open mind for learning and continuous improvement.

Must be willing to be boom lift/manlift certified, heights up to 30ft.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Ensuring that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) guidelines are adhered to
  • Follow cleaning procedures using established benchmarks and SSOPs
  • Monitor waste water production and reduction
  • Assist all production areas in sanitation practices
  • Washing all plant equipment as required.
  • Ensure compliance with production and industry standards (USFDA, NOP Organic)
  • Process tasks under the Pest Management Action Plan
  • Participate in monthly internal plant audits and Continuous Improvement teams

Calling for cardboard, trash, plastic, and wastewater

Working in a team environment to decrease production downtime

Path for Success:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to pass in-house certification tests for operation scissor lifts and boom trucks
  • Basic math and computer skills required
  • The ability to communicate and understand verbal directions effectively and efficiently in the English language, both verbal and written
Shift:

4 on/4 off 6PM-6:30AM

Other Requirements:
