Job summary

Vermont Smoke & Cure is seeking a Sanitation Team Member for our on-site facility in Vermont. You will perform routine cleaning and sanitation tasks for equipment and production areas, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong work ethic to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Shift is Tuesday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM, with a starting hourly rate of $23 plus a 10% shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior sanitation experience preferred, especially with food or mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize processing utensils, equipment, and interiors of production areas.
• Disassemble, clean, and sanitize any required equipment using established procedures.
• Operate cleaning and sanitizing equipment to ensure cleanliness of equipment and work areas (foamers, pressure washer, hoses, walk-behind floor scrubber).
• Mix and/or use chemicals at proper concentrations for effective cleaning/sanitizing.
• Clean common areas, restrooms, and dressing rooms.
• Empty waste bins/barrels and transport trash and waste to disposal area.
• Follow quality management standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize processing utensils, equipment, and interiors of production areas.
• Disassemble, clean, and sanitize any required equipment using established procedures.
• Operate cleaning and sanitizing equipment to ensure cleanliness of equipment and work areas. This includes the use of foamers, pressure washer and hoses, walk behind floor scrubber, etc.
• Mix and/or use chemicals of proper concentrations to ensure effective cleaning/sanitizing of equipment and areas.
• Clean common areas, restrooms, and dressing rooms.
• Empty waste bins/ barrels and transport trash and waste to disposal area.
• Follow quality management standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience working in sanitation, ideally with food or involving mechanical equipment is preferred.
