Job summary

System One is recruiting a Sanitation Technician for a 2nd shift on-site role in Minneapolis, MN. The position involves autonomously setting up and completing sanitation tasks, and running equipment for trials with emphasis on sanitation and setup.

The candidate should be capable of working in a team, have strong safety awareness, and be comfortable with light analytical tasks and basic troubleshooting. Physical stamina is required, including lifting up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with minimal supervision on sanitation tasks.

• Basic computer literacy and reliability in following safety procedures.

Job Title: Sanitation Technician
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Type: Contract
Work Model: On-Site
Hours: 2PM - 10PM Monday - Friday; occasional weekends

Overview

Global food manufacturer looking to hire a Sanitation Tech to join their 2nd shift team. The role involves autonomously setting up, completing sanitation, and running equipment for trials. Sanitation and set up with be the main focus of this role.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Sanitation & Basic equipment set up activities
• Safely operates equipment, understands food safety requirements and ability to perform risk assessment
• Basic analytical tests; basic troubleshooting; skill building on basic unit operations
• Agile, ability to flex across teams within a platform as work needs shift
• Basic technical skills: product, process and/or packaging
• Ability to lift consistently & repeatedly, manipulate & transport ingredients or equipment, up to 55 lbs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Direct Experience needed depending on educational requirements (HS vs. 2 Year Degree)
• Strong self-starter and holds a high regard for quality of work
• Experience of working in teams to deliver results
• Basic computer/technology skills (Office Suite, other computer programs)
• Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving Skills
• Comfortable in processing (pilot plant or plant) environment
• Comfortable operating equipment
