Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is seeking a sanitation-focused team member to maintain clean, compliant production areas in our Wisconsin facility. You will operate sanitation equipment, follow protocols, and document all activities to ensure food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of sanitation or food manufacturing experience.
• Basic understanding of OSHA, GMPs and safety standards.
• Ability to follow sanitation policies and procedures.
• Ability to stand/walk on concrete and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate steam, high-pressure hoses, and CIP equipment to clean and sanitize production tools, equipment, and facilities.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment following sanitation protocols to ensure thorough cleaning.
• Adhere to sanitation schedules, performing routine cleaning, and documenting all activities accurately.
• Handle and document chemical usage according to specified concentrations and safety guidelines.
• Verify sanitation effectiveness by ensuring proper chemical application and passing microbiological indicator tests.
