Job summary

Versova in Mount Victory, KY is seeking a Sanitation Worker to perform daily and downtime sanitation in our processing plants, ensuring USDA regulatory compliance and the production of a safe and wholesome product. This role supports production goals by maintaining proper machine function and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include sanitation, chemical monitoring, safe use of chemicals, waste transport, and PPE usage, all while upholding GMPs and SSOPs and contributing to a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1-2 years in plant quality/food safety/sanitation preferred.
• Knowledge of HACCP and sanitation preferred.
• Must follow safety and GMP rules and observe attendance expectations.
• Experience with PPE and safety equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily and downtime sanitation, dismantling, cleaning, sanitizing, and setup of equipment.
• Monitor cleaning chemical concentrations to specifications.
• Sanitize areas using approved chemicals safely.
• Transport line waste to disposal area and clean surfaces with high-pressure water.
• Adhere to safety rules, GMPs, SSOPs, and wear PPE as required.
• Maintain open communication with team members and report issues promptly.
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as production demands.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Sanitation Worker, you will provide general operational and downtime sanitation in our processing plants.

thus, ensuring USDA regulatory compliance and the production of a safe and wholesome product. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and effectively. This position supports the daily achievement of production goals through ensuring the proper functionality of our machines.

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for daily and downtime sanitation. Timely and effective dismantling, cleaning, sanitizing, and setting up of equipment and other tasks.
• Monitor cleaning chemical concentrations to ensure that they comply with specifications.
• Use approved chemicals to sanitize areas correctly and safely.
• Transport line waste to dump disposal area.
• Use high pressure and high-volume water hoses to clean surfaces.
• Adherence to all safety and sanitation rules and regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Maintain a safe workplace including wearing the necessary protective equipment (PPE)
• Comply with SSOPs as trained.
• Maintains open communication and working relationships with other team members.
• Communicate issues and important information to the appropriate person immediately.
• Adhere to company policies and core values.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• 1-2 years of experience in plant quality/food safety/sanitation preferred.
• Knowledge of HACCP and Sanitation preferred.
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined by the employer.

• Experience with safety/equipment such as LOTO, harnesses, lanyards, hoists, and PPE a plus
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holiday hours as required based on the production demand.
