Surlean Foods is seeking a sanitation worker to clean equipment, floors, and production areas to USDA standards and assist daily production operations. The role involves spraying, washing, and disposing of waste while maintaining safety and cleanliness across the plant.
Responsibilities include chemical handling, lockout/tagout adherence, and supporting team efforts to meet daily ship schedules and sanitation goals.
Responsible for cleaning of equipment, equipment lines and production area to USDA standards.
Frequently requires standing, lifting, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, smelling, listening, speaking, and seeing to perform the essential job duties.
Work conditions vary, quitting time will vary based upon production needs, and flexibility is critical. Temperatures range from 30 to 110 degrees in processing departments.
Exposure to potentially dangerous machinery and equipment are present in the plant. Potential electrical, mechanical, and chemical, hazards are also present. The noise level is high and constant. Floors are damp and slick.
Must be able to bend, stoop, pull and lift up to 60 lbs., and to stand for long periods of time.
High school education or equivalent preferred. Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination. Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team effort.
