Job summary

Nature's Bakery, part of the Mars family, seeks a Sanitation Worker for the plant. The role covers sanitizing equipment to meet GMP and safety standards, reading chemical labels, and maintaining cleanliness on a 3rd shift (Mon-Fri 9:00pm-5:30am) with overtime as needed.

Starting pay is 17.25 USD per hour with shift differential for eligible shifts. The successful candidate will adhere to our Safe Quality Food program and cooperate with a production team to ensure product quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• General understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety labels on chemical containers.
• Ability to work overtime on short notice.
• Basic understanding of sanitation processes and related equipment.
• Ability to run sanitation equipment.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize equipment using chemicals and power washers.
• Read chemical labels to ensure safe applications.
• Manually scrub certain areas of machines using brushes or scrub pads.
• Light cleaning of coolers; pick up garbage from floor and sweep with dust mop.
• Clean floors using floor scrubber.
• Disassemble equipment.
• Pressure wash rugs.
• Occasionally clean overhead storage levels using man lift.
• Inspect equipment to ensure sanitation requirements are met.
• Report issues to supervisor.
• Adhere to Safe Quality Food Program policies and procedures.

SUMMARY

The Sanitation Worker sanitizes all equipment in the plant in compliance with customer specifications and with company policy and procedures related to proper sanitation, GMP and Safety requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
