Job summary

Nature's Bakery operates as part of the Mars family, seeking a Sanitation Worker for the 3rd shift to sanitize equipment in the plant and uphold GMP and safety standards. You will read labels, scrub equipment, and maintain clean floors, assisting in a productive, compliant environment.

Responsibilities include disassembling equipment as needed, inspecting sanitation, reporting issues, and following Safe Quality Food guidelines. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GMP and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate sanitation equipment and read labels.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and solve problems.
• Basic understanding of sanitation processes and related equipment.
• Ability to work overtime with little notice.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize equipment using chemicals and power washers.
• Read chemical labels to ensure safe applications.
• Manually scrub certain areas of machines using brushes or scrub pads.
• Light cleaning of coolers; pick up garbage and sweeping with dust mop.
• Clean floors using floor scrubber.
• Disassemble equipment.
• Inspect equipment to assure sanitation requirements are met.
• Report all issues to supervisor.
• Adhere to safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Summary

The Sanitation Worker sanitizes all equipment in the plant in compliance with customer specifications and with company policy and procedures related to proper sanitation, GMP and Safety requirements.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Sanitize equipment using chemicals and power washers.
• Read chemical labels to ensure safe applications.
• Manually scrub certain areas of machines using brushes or scrub pads.
• Light cleaning of coolers; picking up garbage from floor and sweeping with dust mop.
• Clean floors using floor scrubber.
• Disassembling equipment.
• Pressure wash rugs.
• Occasionally clean overhead storage levels using man lift.
• Inspect equipment to assure sanitation requirements are met.
• Report all issues to supervisor.
• All sanitation employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
• All sanitation employees are expected to produce and promote our products and services in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
