Job summary

Nature's Bakery, part of the Mars family, is seeking a Sanitation Worker for 3rd shift to sanitize equipment and maintain clean, safe plant conditions in accordance with GMP and safety requirements.

The role involves reading chemical labels, operating power washers, and performing routine cleaning tasks across production areas. OT may be required, with a focus on quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• General understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
• Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve.
• Basic understanding of sanitation processes and related equipment.
• Ability to run sanitation equipment.
• Ability to read, comprehend and communicate safety labels on chemical containers.
• Ability to work overtime as needed with little or no notice.
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Sanitize equipment using chemicals and power washers.
• Read chemical labels to ensure safe applications.
• Manually scrub certain areas of machines using brushes or scrub pads.
• Light cleaning of coolers; picking up garbage from floor and sweeping with dust mop.
• Clean floors using floor scrubber.
• Disassembling equipment.
• Pressure wash rugs.
• Occasionally clean overhead storage levels using man lift.
• Inspect equipment to assure sanitation requirements are met.
• Report all issues to supervisor.
• All sanitation employees are expected to perform any assignment per safety policies.
• All sanitation employees are expected to promote products and services by adhering to Safe Quality Food Program.

SUMMARY

The Sanitation Worker sanitizes all equipment in the plant in compliance with customer specifications and with company policy and procedures related to proper sanitation, GMP and Safety requirements.
