Job summary

TDP Bakery in Houston, TX is seeking a Sanitation Team Member to maintain cleanliness and food safety in our bakery production facility. This full-time role involves cleaning equipment, processing areas, and ensuring GMPs are followed.

You will work on mid-day or overnight shifts, with weekend and holiday opportunities, and report to the Sanitation Supervisor and GM. Prior experience is preferred but entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and work areas according to company procedures.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for deep cleaning and sanitation.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and GMPs.
• Complete sanitation documentation and cleaning records accurately.
• Dispose of waste materials and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Inspect equipment and production areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or sanitation issues to supervisors.
• Support production readiness by ensuring all areas are clean and prepared for daily operations.

Job Description

Through our BakeFace™ brand private-label partnerships, we supply a broad portfolio of Honestly Fresh™ baked goods to retailers nationwide.

As a Sanitation Team Member, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards of our bakery production facility. This position cleans and sanitizes production equipment, processing areas, and facility workspaces while supporting food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. You will work as part of a team to keep the facility clean, safe, and ready for production operations.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor and the General Manager at our bakery facility in Houston, Texas. We currently have the following shift openings:

• Mid-Day Shift: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Overnight Shift: 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM

Scheduled days may vary based on production needs and may include weekends, holidays, and overtime opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous sanitation, janitorial, manufacturing, warehouse, or food production experience preferred but not required
• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a food production or bakery environment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Experience using cleaning chemicals, sanitation equipment, and pressure washing systems
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
