Job summary

Ecowize USA Freeland, Pennsylvania is seeking a Sanitation Team Lead to drive on-the-floor sanitation activities and lead a team of technicians. You will train new hires, enforce safety standards, and coordinate with supervisors to maintain compliant cleaning processes in a USDA/FDA-regulated plant.

The role is hourly, non-exempt, with night/weekend shifts. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in technical sanitation, strong leadership, and Spanish-English communication skills to train diverse

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on technical sanitation in a food processing facility (USDA/FDA environment preferred).
• Demonstrated informal leadership, peer coaching or onboarding experience.
• Strong knowledge of SSOPs, chemical safety, and wet/dry cleaning.
• Commitment to safety with OSHA, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and HAZCOM.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for frontline training.
• Willingness to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts in challenging plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Own Your Area: perform hands-on sanitation, disassembly, deep cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembly of complex machinery.
• Train and coach: on-the-floor trainer for new hires and existing Sanitation Technicians.
• Model Safety & Compliance: adhere to OSHA standards, LOTO, HAZCOM, PPE guidelines, and GMPs.
• Support Sanitation Chemistry: assist in titrations to verify cleaning solutions meet regulatory strength requirements.
• Inspect and Verify: audit area to ensure pre-operational and mid-shift standards are met.
• Execute Technical Sanitation: operate within USDA/FDA frameworks and SSOPs.
