Job summary

Ecowize North America is seeking a Sanitation Team Lead to own on-the-floor sanitation in a food production setting. You will lead, coach, and train fellow Sanitation Technicians while upholding strict safety standards and GMPs.

Role requires 1–3 years of hands-on sanitation in USDA/FDA environments, with on-the-floor leadership and a focus on chemical safety and SSOP adherence. Night, weekend, and holiday shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on technical sanitation experience in a food processing facility (USDA/FDA preferred).
• Informal leadership skills: peer coaching, onboarding, or shift point-of-contact.
• Strong working knowledge of SSOPs, chemical safety, and cleaning methods.
• Proven OSHA safety compliance including LOTO and hazcomm.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for frontline training.

Responsibilities

• Own your area: hands-on sanitation, disassembly, deep cleaning, sanitizing, reassembly of equipment.
• Train and coach: on-the-floor trainer for new hires and technicians.
• Model safety & compliance: enforce OSHA, LOTO, HAZCOM, PPE and GMPs.
• Assist in sanitation chemistry: conduct titrations to verify solution strength.
• Inspect and verify: audit area for pre-operational and mid-shift standards.
• Execute technical sanitation: follow SSOPs and the 7 steps of sanitation across shifts.
