Job summary

Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor in the Louisville, KY area to lead plant sanitation programs, train staff, and ensure food safety compliance. You will develop and execute daily and rotation sanitation activities, oversee SSOPs and the Master Cleaning Schedule, and partner with plant leadership to improve sanitation performance.

Requirements include 3–5 years of experience, HACCP knowledge, FDA/USDA familiarity, wet and dry cleaning, and the ability to work rotating

Qualifications

• 3-5 years progressive experience in sanitation or related role.
• Knowledge of HACCP plans and FDA/USDA regulations.
• Experience with Master Cleaning Schedule and SSOPs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all plant sanitation programs, including training team members, implementing best practices, and monitoring operational effectiveness.
• Develop and execute daily, weekly, and scheduled sanitation activities to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant production environment.
• Manage key sanitation systems and documentation, including the Master Cleaning Schedule, SSOPs, Environmental Monitoring Program, and continuous improvement initiatives in accordance with USDA requirements.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to enhance sanitation performance, drive process improvements, and support operational goals.
• Conduct routine inspections, audits, and assessments, ensuring corrective actions are identified, tracked, and completed in a timely manner.
• Proactively identify and escal food safety risks, taking immediate corrective action when necessary.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to sanitation team members while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Evaluate employee performance, communicate expectations, and support ongoing training and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, customer, and company food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of progressive experience
• Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points plans
• Familiarity with FDA and USDA regulations
• Wet and Dry clean experience, as well as the 7 steps of Sanitation
• Working knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance principles
• Knowledge of plant equipment, sanitation processes, and safety practices
• Understanding of microbiology related to sanitation practices preferred
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and operational losses
• Ability to work an alternative and rotating schedule
