Job summary

Tovala, a food-tech company reinventing home cooking, is seeking a Sanitation Specialist to maintain hygiene across our production facility and office areas. You will sanitize equipment, floors, surfaces, and walls while adhering to safety policies and documenting food safety tasks.

Responsibilities include restocking supplies, completing quality documentation, and performing other duties as needed. The role offers a 5‑day schedule with Thursdays & Sundays off and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and follow tasks to completion.
• Familiarity with cleaning solutions, including preparation and dilution of chemicals.
• Food certifications and licenses as required by local regulations.
• Previous janitorial / sanitation experience in a production or food facility.

Starting Pay: $19.50/hour

Responsibilities

The Sanitation Specialist will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all aspects of our food production facility and operation. This includes cleaning and sanitizing all production equipment, floors, surfaces, and walls within the kitchen, break rooms, restrooms, and office area, as well as checking and restocking supplies as needed while following Tovala's food safety and employee safety policies. Food sanitation workers may also be required to complete relevant food safety/quality documentation.

Physical Demands

• Able to lift, push, or pull up to fifty (50) pounds
• Able to stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
• Comfortable working in hot and cold temperature environments
