Job summary

Tovala is seeking an Assembler for its food production team in West Valley City, UT. You will participate in portioning and packing meals, preparing packaging inventory, and operating on the packing line to assemble meals for shipping.

The role requires standing 8+ hours daily in a cold production facility (39 F). Compensation starts at $18.50 per hour with benefits including PTO, healthcare, a 401k match, and free Tovala ovens and meals.

Position Summary

As an Assembler on Tovala’s food production team, you will be involved in our food preparation and packing operations. This includes portioning and packaging our food products. Additionally, you will prepare our packaging inventory and perform duties on our packing line to assemble our meals for shipping to customers. The work is performed in a cold production facility (39 °F) and requires standing 8+ hours daily.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday starting at 6:00

How you’ll spend your time at Tovala

• Inspecting food products for quality
• Making small cardboard boxes
• Packing products into boxes
• Insulating shipping boxes
• Labeling finished products for shipping
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Working with the team to meet daily production goals

Physical Demands

• Standing and/or walking up to 8+ hours per day in a cold environment (39 °F)
• Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 pounds frequently
• Use of hands and fingers for fine manipulation
• Vision for machine operation and food handling
• Hearing
• Wear personal protective equipment for food safety

Competencies

• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions
• Ability to weigh, measure, or otherwise portion food
• Basic arithmetic

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred

$18.50 - $18.50 an hour
