Job summary

Bluegrass Ingredients seeks a Sanitation Associate to perform cleaning per the Master Sanitation Schedule and maintain plant cleanliness. You will operate cleaning equipment, follow GMP and PPE rules, and report hazards to ensure food safety and quality.

Ideal candidates are neat, punctual, possess good manual dexterity, and can work from heights. This full-time, site-based role requires teamwork and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Must be neat, clean, and have legible handwriting.
• Must be punctual.
• Must have good manual dexterity.
• Must present a positive attitude toward co-workers and job.
• Must be capable of working from heights greater than 10 feet.
• Must do other work as assigned.
• Must follow safety and hygiene guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Must follow GMPs and OSHA PPE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs plant cleaning as prescribed by the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Operates powered cleaning equipment safely and knowledgeably.
• Maintains general housekeeping in all plant areas.
• Identifies and reports hazards, defective equipment, and spills.
• Attends required safety and food safety training.
• Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives including 5S.
• Assists pest control and spill containment as needed.
