SANITATION/PORTER (Finance)

Maintain safe and sanitary conditions throughout the store in adherence to company standards and health department regulations. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining exterior front entrance and sidewalk, practicing safe food handling procedures, and providing excellent customer service. Minimum requirements:

• Ability to read technical manuals and understand instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Reading and writing skills to complete forms.
• Teamwork and effective communication skills.
• Awareness and practice of safety procedures.
• Good customer service skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous relevant work experience.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Providing customer service and effective communication with store staff.
• Practicing safe food handling.
• Operating cleaning equipment.
• Cleaning restrooms, filling dispensers, and disposing of trash.
• Cleaning walls, vents, and ceilings; exterminating pests; maintaining refrigerated cases.
• Moving equipment for cleaning, replacing light bulbs, and maintaining supplies.
• Shampooing and vacuuming mats and rugs; following proper cleaning protocols.
• Spreading ice melt and shoveling snow as needed.
• Performing minor maintenance on equipment.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Managing conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
• Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Following directions and seeking assistance when needed.
• Supporting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Salary Range: $16.10 - $18.15
